Three Things Nashville Made Famous
Three Things Nashville Made Famous
With the launch of Bob Evan’s NEW Dang Hot Chicken, inspired by the iconic Nashville Hot Chicken, now available as a dinner, a Family Meal to Go, or even a sandwich, we’re celebrating a few of Nashville’s most popular creations. For years, when people think of Nashville, one of the first things that come to mind is Hot Chicken. This is even true for Bob Evan’s when thinking about our new menu item, but there’s more to the Music City.

Country Music
Nashville is the home of Country Music. Between the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, and live music pretty much every where yougo throughout the city, there’s no doubt as to why it’s nicknamed the “Music City.”

Nashville Hot Chicken
Since its creation in the 1930s, Nashville Hot Chicken has become one of the go-to spicy chicken options in the Music City. When comparing the recipe to others, the difference is a hefty dose of spices in the coating as well as sauce over the top – creating the unique spicy chicken dish craved by many. Today, the hot fried chicken is featured at many local restaurants and bars in the city. This idea, dating back over 90 years, even led to our very own Dang Hot Chicken, featuring juicy fried chicken and Bob Evans new head-turning Dang Hot Sauce, available as a sandwich or dinner.
Are you ready to visit Nashville now? We are too! In fact, we’re hosting a contest next month in partnership with iHeart Radio to send two lucky people to Nashville for two nights. Learn more here and stay tuned for entry details.
In the meantime, bring a taste of Nashville home by searching “hot chicken near me” and finding your local Bob Evans Restaurant to try the NEW Dang Hot Chicken Dinner or Dang Hot Chicken Sandwich – see you there!

Meat & Three
Did you know that before Nashville Hot Chicken, Nashville was known for the Meat & Three iconic meal? This meal consists of a choice of meat, such as ham, turkey, or fried chicken, and three sides, like mac and cheese, potatoes or greens. This comforting southern meal leaves you full and satisfied, much like many of Bob Evan’s Dinner Bell Plates, adopting the same idea.
