Six Ways to Plan the Perfect Mother’s Day Brunch
Six Ways to Plan the Perfect Mother’s Day Brunch
Although we believe that all mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers deserve to feel important and special every day, Mother’s Day gives us the opportunity to celebrate them and thank them for all they do for us.
Moms are often considered role models, and the late Matriach of the Bob Evans family, Jewell Evans, was an inspiration to many. While raising her six kids she worked alongside her husband, Bob, to build the Bob Evans legacy. She poured her heart into the business while always putting her family first. Many of Jewell’s signature recipes are still used in our restaurants today.

Bob and Jewell knew that farm-fresh food and wholesome recipes could bring people together, so for this year’s Mother’s Day brunch, let Bob Evans handle the cooking so you can spend more time with Mom. We welcome you to join us in-restaurant, but if you’re opting to enjoy America’s Farm Fresh at-home this year, here are some ideas to take your brunch hosting skills to the next level.
1. Decorate for Mom
Make the meal feel extra special by decorating your kitchen or dining room. Give your mom a warm welcome with a colorful banner. You can use markers, paint, construction paper, or even cut a sign out of cardboard. Hang it on the wall or ceiling of the room you’ll be dining in. Use leftover pieces of paper or cardboard to create table cards for everyone in the family. Consider printing photos of some of your favorite memories with mom to add to the space or incorporate fresh flowers for a touch spring.
2. Find a Centerpiece
Everyone knows a table setting is not complete without a centerpiece. A bouquet of fresh cut flowers or potted plant is an easy solution. Plus this can also be a gift for mom to have after brunch is over.

3. Put it in Writing
No matter how old you are, all Moms love handmade cards from their kids, so skip the drugstore this year and write her something from the heart. Place the cards at her seat of the table or wait until after brunch is over to hand-deliver it to her.
4. Top it All Off
To sweeten up your brunch, order Mom one of our new Fresh Berry dishes topped with vine-ripened, hand picked strawberries. Choose from a stack of hotcakes or brioche french toast topped with fresh cut strawberries, powdered sugar, strawberry sauce and whipped topping. Use the strawberries to spell out ‘Mom’ or arrange them in the shape of a heart—just a little extra detail to show you care!

5. Sip in Style
Bring a pop of color to your coffee or orange juice with some decorative paper straws or stirrers or fancy glasses. This is an easy way to add a fun detail, especially if you’re in a pinch. You could also dress up your fruity beverage with some slices of fresh fruit on the rim as a garnish.
6. Serve Breakfast in Bed
If you want to keep your brunch relaxing and simple, you cannot go wrong with spoiling mom with breakfast in bed. Take it up a notch by ditching the to-go containers and putting mom’s food on a real plate, along with nice silverware and glassware and a cloth napkin. As a special added touch, add a single flower from your yard in a water glass or mason jar to your tray.

However you celebrate, we hope you can agree when we say we’d be nowhere without our moms, so she deserves to have the best day. Show us your brunch meal and décor along with how you’re celebrating Mother’s Day. Tag @bobevansfarms in your photos on Instagram and post with #bobevans!
